Reasons to be Cheerful – free reflexology

I’m settling back in very easily after our wonderful week away, made even easier by a visit from my Fairy Godmother last night.  As I mentioned in my silver lining post I have had the most wonderful feedback from everyone but in particular I was contacted by a most phenomenal woman called Lori.  She’s a reflexologist and has worked on insomniacs in the past and really believes that she could help me and therefore offered me FREE reflexology sessions.

reflexology

Last night was my first session.  She came to my house and I immediately warmed to her.  She was very easy to talk to and put me at ease immediately.  She was very honest and said that I wouldn’t see immediate results for my insomnia so just to be patient.  She also asked about any other ailments I had and one major thing is my back.  Like a lot of Mum’s it’s been in a pretty bad state for the last 5 years since I had my first child but I put it out quite badly a few weeks ago when I was picking up my youngest and I’ve been in pain ever since.  Anyway, the lovely Lori worked on my feet for over 1 1/2 hours, some bits were lovely and some were quite painful (but this is a good thing).  She wants to see me again on Thursday as doesn’t want to leave it too long between reflexology sessions.

When I got out of bed this morning I couldn’t quite believe it, I didn’t look like I was double my age.  It honestly was amazing,  I could hardly feel any pain in my back at all.  And this has continued all day.

So, one session of reflexology has worked its magic on my back so fingers, toes and everything crossed that in time it will work its magic on my sleep too.

So it’s an easy one this week, my reason for being cheerful is because of my Fairy Godmother.  If you live in South London and would like to see a reflexologist please please get in contact and I’ll pass over her contact details.

  1. My friend who started having contractions early and who started having insomnia, got reflexology and had a whole 6 hrs sleep the other night! I must try it! Great that its helping you :)

  2. Wow, glad it’s helping already. I’ve has reflexology quite a few times for anxiety and fertility issues and I really believe in it (plus it’s sooo relaxing!) x

  3. wow – that is brilliant! I know how horrid a bad back can be :-( so pleased for you that you are feeling better. Hope your sleep improves also – I’ve been using lavender pillow spray and it may just be a placebo effect but seems to help x
